Strong silhouettes

March 12, 2019

A pre-storm breeze announces its arrival,

to a Lion’s roar throughout a cloud.

Darkness lives within this shroud,

as thoughts soon twist fear into survival.

Floods fill crevices and feed torrential falls,

as dust turns mud into a creek.

Drawn to this path are the weak,

for its the Kimberley which makes these calls.

Brumbies gallop far across highland rise,

as lightning forms strong silhouettes.

Confusion reigns in a game of roulette,

as a nightmare is born out of fearful cries.

Full moon breaks out and is free to shine,

as engines roar to signal too much booze.

Inevitable crash befits nightly news,

as Bats swarm to signal it is feeding time.
