Success is not a destination, nor a passage that is free,
it is, however boasted, as the great idealist’s place to be.
Philosophers write of riches, between the soul and heart,
their motive is contentment; a quest keeping them apart.
They write of ideals out of reach, with passion and desire,
a quest, to search for nothingness, which builds into a fire?
Is it merely a place of happiness, or just a state of mind?
Could it be a lonely thought, which we may never find?
Why then do the unsuccessful, appear to always hate?
Perhaps success is born of envy, or jealousy of a mate.
How can we truly know, if success is where we want to be?
So make the most of where we are and fear will swiftly flee.
If successful is an overflowing, excess of great successes;
then who determines levels of success from emptiness’s?
Success can be measured; not by others, but from within,
a barometer is not in the dollars, it is valued by your grin.
It is not about the wealth that we accumulate each day,
a gauge, is by how many people, we touch along the way.
If described as a successful person, be sure to check their spell,
for some are full of joy and life, and others, . . . just successfool.
