The brisk morning air, the cool breeze on my hair,
a sunrise that took my mind floating somewhere.
How brilliant the orange, how crimson the red,
the morning was singing inside of my head.
I looked to the sea, as I balance on rocks,
eyes fixated, as surf splashed on my socks.
Black line in the distance and then the great sight;
as a graceful black whale appeared in full flight.
It danced and it played, in the most glorious morn,
its head high and proud as a new day was formed.
I jogged on the sand, then stopped in my tracks,
the reflection from heaven was joy to the max.
The pinkish grey clouds, surrounding the fire,
like wisps of fairy floss, that filled my desire.
How bright is the sand, as it shines through that wave?
The reflections on the rocks, one more picture to save.
But no camera could capture this moment in time,
to no friend could I tell just how wonderfully fine.
So I stood there for what seemed an in-definitive time,
As my heart climbed to heaven, the sun started to shine.
I cherish this more than a thousand pictures can tell;
I thank you dear Lord for this new day and your spell.
